Accomodation

The Art Of Nepal

For this journey we have selected beautiful boutique accomodation in unique locations, off the tourist trail.

In the cities step out of your door into the local alleys and lanes. While, in the countryside, enjoy being away from all the crowds and walk to untouched villages.

In the backyard of one of the holiest Buddhist stupas and adjacent to a Buddhist monastery, Shambaling Hotel is nestled in the heart of Kathmandu’s Tibetan community.

Only a 10-minute walk from Boudhanath Stupa, through the narrow brick-paved lanes, Shambaling is decorated as a Tibetan style house where every floor represents a different element of the Kalachakra, Earth, Fire, Water.

On the edge of the ancient World Heritage listed city Bhaktapur, you will stay in the deluxe Heritage Hotel where history comes alive with Malla, Rana, Newari and Mithila influences.

Created from reclaimed building materials up to 400 years old, every piece of the hotel has a story, a history, the handiwork of Nepali artisans and a flavour of the local community.  All the furniture is antique or purpose built from 200 year old reclaimed wood and the walls adorned with original Mithila artwork painted by 6 artists from Janakpur.

The Inn, Patan

Colonial Bungalow style accomodation situated amidst the tropical forested hills sloping down to the Trisuli river’s sandy beaches.

Summit Village Lodge at Brigand's Bend, features panoramic views, fresh organic meals, outdoor pool and bar and the chance to trek to villages untouched by tourism.
